  Hello EAF,
  thanks for contributing to OHM. Before mapping plaese familiarize yourself with Guidlines for Historical Mapping in OHM like https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OpenHistoricalMap/Tags#Evolution_over_time for example. My preferred approach for mapping roads changing over time e.g. is to map each geometry individually. The edited road has and end_date of 1712 and and that time had not reached your mapped points. (As you can see here: https://historicmaps.toolforge.org/berlin/)

  If you want to contribute and map Berlin historically i would suggest for example to map cultural heritage monuments from this map (https://denkmaldatenbank.berlin.de/denkmalkarte).
  You can use the overlay "Berlin/Geoportal ALKIS" (under Imagery in the Editor) for mapping the buildings.
  Please set always a start_date. The start_date should be the build year (when the buildings was finished). If there is an newer date (for instance the building was remodeled) use that instead.
  This will help in getting a greater coverage of buildings in Berlin and also setting a reference for later mapping efforts.
