Hi Charlie - apparently, 'place' is a key value that a lot of other parts of the stack depend on, so place=kingdom is something we should be avoiding. (See: OSM has Puerto Rico as a 'state'... and... https://github.com/OpenHistoricalMap/issues/issues/374 .... and... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15B3HKtAN4iRiQoQt0sdHXH4YcjCVUqARAUKX9eaVrRk/edit?gid=0#gid=0.
So... ideally, for now, this would be: place=country and
country=kingdom; empire
I'm going to add the country = empire tag as part of some slides I'm putting together as part of State of the Map, which is pretty much going to be a presentation of your hard work!Thanks, Jeff
